It would seem as though there was some kinda sales pitch going on there Dave. Doubt you will find any Antoria with logo pups.

Paul-A dug this picture up and I've just read his article for UK "Guitar Buyer" mag on the Antoria version of the Custom Agent (that included this pic). Paul has done quite a lot of research on the Antoria brand of late and come up with some really interesting stuff.

Neither Paul nor myself has seen one of these in the flesh. In fact, didn't even know it existed at all up to a month or so ago.

What Six said. :-)

Check out the horns on this. Not the same sharp horns as on the Artist 2617 models.

I've got a copy of Paul's article. Very good stuff on the "related" CA.

Oh I get it now. America -"land of the free". Freedom of choice etc. Statue of liberty - built by the French and given to the US as a free gift.

Hi Six and Johns

can you please let me know the month/issue number of Guitar Buyer with the Antoria article? I would very much like to track down a copy.

Thanks

Fox:

Good eyes! This is a later version, from that shown in the advert. Other differences that I see:

1. Shape of horns is different, exactly like the Ibanez Artist shape.

2. Truss rod cover says: Artist

3. Coil tap mini-switch

4. Tuners with locks like early Ibanez

Let's see if Paul Alcantara can shed some more light on this one. Like a serial number for one.

The guitar is mine. It is the first and only one that I have seen. It has two Super 70s and no serial number. The truss rod cover is not original - it should read 'Professional'.

There was an Antoria 2617 listed on eBay a few weeks back but the seller withdrew it after about a day. Doh.
