I have a Phiga Virtuoso , and would appreciate any views/opinions on these. I've never seen another of these here in the UK. The photo is from the Phiga website, but this is my guitar (the patterns in the maple neck and headstock match). The maple wings have a heavier flame than shows here. It was handmade in Brownsville, Texas, and written on the back of the headstock is '16 of 40' 2001 Phiga'. Construction is Maple wings (with more flame than the picture above shows), with Walnut? or Mahagony? speeders and a slightly burled maple centre and neck. I've changed the original (Samshin) pups to a pair of Matsumoko-made from a Washburn Wing series. What the pics miss is the fingerboard inlays; these are synthetic MOP with real (and very highly figured) abolone triangle inserts. Picked it up on eBay two years ago. Padraic
