Yeah strange. My first Christmas in Australia. The sun is shining it's warm and this morning I was outside wearing shorts and a tee! And to think they are all freezing back in the UK.

Happy Crimbo members and readers one and all.

Hey Six, it's pretty warm in Melbourne at the moment. It really takes some getting used to having Christmas in the middle of summer. I've been doing it now for just over 30 years!

For all you guys back East, enjoy your merry white Christmas; and for Six down under, have a nice "green" Christmas.

We are supposed to have a wet Christmas here in Pennsylvania. But whatever the weather is I'll be with my family celebrating!

Hello All,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone here. Santa (me) has brought me a 1998 S2540 and I couldn't be happier.

Anyone else get something under the tree??

Hey Ace, I have a Nano too. Have you tried it with a 4x12 yet?

Listen to the Nano on this link via the "Xotic" website with Mike Thompson demonstrating the Nano and Xotic AC & RC Boosters:

John,

I have two other s series guitars, the sc620amp and the sc1620vv. I had previously used guitars with tremolos. I have been gigging the hardtails with my strat backup for about 5 years, so I wanted a floyd again. (I had one on a hamer chapparal custom and i hated it)
THIS GUITAR IS AMAZING!!!
This is my first wizard neck, so I am in heaven.
The lo-pro also relieves me of my previous concerns about the floyd style tailpiece.
The fit and finish is meticulous, although there were some pick scratches that I had to buff out, no big deal. The inlays are beautiful, and I am really a fan of the quantum pickups. They are very even and warm. Which is precisely what I need. My band mates still marvel at how, as time has progressed, the amount of high end that I use has decreased. Oh well here are some pics, but be prepared, I will post some really good ones!!!

Cmangeot:

Man is that a beautiful top! Before I read the specs I always thought that the top was Maple.

It took me a while to get used to the Wizard neck. But it grew on me. Changing the strings on it the first time was harrowing. Just don't change the guage on the strings without having extra trem springs.

Six,

I don't have a 4x12 cab and have been running the Nano through a Marshall 10" cab and it sounded pretty good. Finally had a chance to try it on a Boogie 2x12 this past Monday and the little amp blew me away. This thing is unreal except may be for jazz players who like clean sounds.

Will do as soon as I settle on a decent cab.

Well, I've managed to tear myself away from my Xmas pressie for a LITTLE while, and managed a few pics.
AR200 case 261205
AR200 side
As some may have guessed, new old stock which the shop has had for almost 4 years, but still new, complete with the plastic stuck to the pups, back cover and headstock. The shop my WIFE bought it from had it wrongly listed as a AR3000 and never managed to sell. So santa got a bargain.

It's the first new guitar I've had since 1983, when I bought my R400.
The AR2000 is incredibly light compared to my others, and that smooth heel(because of the thinner body) makes great access to the top frets. The pups are just crystal clear with smooth tone.
The prestige neck is just a slightly thinner feel than the older models, but an absolute dream to play.
Here's how they line up.
