Still a work in progress at the moment but the latest updates have been done and the information collated into a mySQL / PHP database that can be searched.

At the moment these are hosted on my forum (which is totally unrelated to guitars) until John works out how to host them here.

There are two search forms.

The first is a Detailed Search Form that allows input of a Model Number or a Model Description, including a partial description and returns each individual E-Bay sale over the last 3 years. The results can be sorted by Year, Condition or Price.

The second is a SummarySearch Form that allows the same search criteria as above but which returns the summary of E-Bay sales during the same period. There is no sort key on this search as it is summary data.

Please Note: Where the average is displayed as a zero value this means that there have been no additional sales in that period and the next value to the left is therefore the average price.

As stated above, this is still under development at present and although I've tested it fairly hard there are probably still some bugs to be ironed out.

As also noted previously, this is by no means exhaustive as I have only included those where I could clearly identify the model with the rider that my knowledge of the electrics is not as good as it could be.

Enjoy and feel free to suggest improvement, identify bugs or anything else that comes to mind.

Cheers
Russ

hey russell that's terrific!
i searched for as200, am205 and am50 and noted that the results do not confirm the "ibanez rising prices trend", at least not completely. am50s and am205s cost more or less the same than 3 years ago; as200s increased by us$150 wich in the end isn't that much.

Russ,
AM100's were only made in 1983 I believe...definately not 1977...some people mislabled solidbodies as this model as well and I think that may be part of the confusion. But the new search is great!

Russ,
Do I need a special program installed for these searchs to work? After attempting many times; and with different models, I get absoultly nothing. Any suggestions?

You shouldn't need any special program to make the searches work although I have only tested them with IE and Firefox browsers.

Can I suggest that (in either) you enter 2350 as your search term - the shorter the search terms the better results you will get as it uses whatever you enter and looks for entries that contain that search string.

I should probably add that only a limited range of models are covered as follows:

Les Paul copies
SG's
ES'
Performers
Musicians
Studios
Artists
Acoustics
George Bensons
Concerts
Professionals

.. all pre 1985/6

Worth adding that for acoustic models the search should be model number and string count - that is to say a 698 will require the addition of either a 6 or a 12 to return a result. Format is 698-6 or 698-12.

Cheers
