Author Message Guidothepimp Username: Guidothepimp Registered: 09-2005 Posted on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 - 7:16 am:    hello all, looking for some opinions, i cant comprehend why so few people like hiwatt amplification and having a look at some reviews from different sites i often see, peavey blows hiwatt to hell, hiwho?? etc etc. ive had the privilege of owning both hiwatt 100w guitar and bass amps, currently i only have the guitar amp and it has fantastic tone, great bass, great mids and im not much of a treble fan but needless to say that works fine too. the build is great, the amp is REALLLY powerful, I mean whoa... so what do you all think?? im a fan of hiwatt, anyone had experience with them or am i being biased?? claudio Craigjc Username: Craigjc Registered: 11-2002 Posted on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 - 8:02 am:    No, man, Hiwatts are amazing. The core of my guitar sound. I run this little guy through a 4x12, along with Fender and Peavey tube combos, and the Hiwatt just cranks. The quality of these amps is unreal. My combo is an "OL" model, so it has more gain than the average Hiwatt. All I can say is, "Stand Back and plug your ears". I've probably given up 10% of my hearing to this tone monster. No regrets. I think you're on the wrong forums to meet a lot of Hiwatt fans. Try the Vintage Amp forum at vintageamps.com. There's a whole category dedicated to Hiwatt. Peavey is just grouped into "other American amps". One visit will make you a happy Hiwatter.
