Hey guys, I know this is an Ibanez collectors site, but damn, this baby is on the way to Guitartim-Land.

It is a '95 Heritage H575 Custom. All solid woods...with many custom upgrades ordered from the factory by the original owner. The solid maple top is...well...over the top!

Check this out:

Tim,

That is absolutely SICK looking, let me send Dr. Hale right over to take that thing off your hands. Actually the TOP reminds me of my Mesa Boogie amp... A real nice piece. Did you say SOLID woods, not laminated ?? Really nice !! When I was shopping for a big archtop last year many of the Heritage models were on my list - there are some exceptional values out there too...

Nice score !! Next time post a NSFW (Not Safe For (viewing at) Work warning... LOL

When I saw those "chickenhead knobs" I guessed old Bassman or Deluxe...

With that guitar and amp, Tim, I'd pay to watch you just stand around on stage even if you never played a note! But please don't jump around! The waves on the quilt top are so deep I'm afraid I'll get seasick.

Gary, no worries. I play mostly bass 'live' these days. This purchase was something I had my eye on for months...and it never sold. Probably too gaudy for most jazz box customers. I'm just a sucker for beautiful wood!!

Mike, you were close. It is a Fender amp chassis inside the cabinet.

Early edition, U.S. made Blues Jr.! The hardwood cabinet is almost the size of a Deluxe, so the 12" speaker has a bit more air to move, and it's response is NOW due to the dense wood. Very sweet sounding amp.

Guitartim, I checked out their site and have been thinking for some time about getting a flame maple cabinet for my old blackface Deluxe Reverb... Seeing their pricelist (which gives you a BALLPARK figure) makes me think it's worth doing... I spent a lot of time at work last night looking at eBay auctions for old Fender Tweed amps - never could find one that QUITE matched yours.... LOL

I've had Tim over to my place for lunch - we set my Deluxe Reverb up on the deck and he switched between his guitars and my gutiars for a couple hours while I made pizzas and generally stood there drop jawed in awe at the way he'd rip some jazz stuff off, then an R&B tune, then some blues.... Jeez...

Tim,

I got two new pedals coming: an Ace and a Deuce. I conacted my buddy simply to buy a small quantity of assorted stogies from him and I must have picked a good time because he's including them in the parcel. Gimme a minute and I'll Photobucket them. Same guy that made the Dumble and Hale's Comet...

HOLY COW!!! How did I miss this thread???

Tim - That guitar is gorgeous. The amp is no slouch either. I'll bet that guitar sounds like a million bucks. Holy cow.

Congratulations! Nice axe. Did I say holy cow???

That is the same reaction I had when I opened the case. It is even more spectacular (not really gaudy) in person. I've never seen an archtop quite like this one. And Jay Wolfe put on a fresh set of Thomastik Intfelds on her and set it up prior to shipping.

Tim:

It is a beautiful looking instrument!

Question about the pickguard. Is it solid wood or a veneer over a man-made material (like the Ibanezes)?

Johns~The pickguard is a solid piece of quilted maple with binding. I looked under it and there was subtle figuring visible!

Amazing workmanship all around!

Guitartim -

Some evening when the mood is just right, noodling around on your beautiful guitar, ask if she's got a sister...

Gary~As the old saying goes..."If you turn them upside down, they all look like sisters..."

But seriously, here is the first H575 I was considering...Sister? Maybe!

Ibanez is my first love, but for a reasonably priced, fully customizable (sp) archtops, ya can't beat Heritage.

Also beautiful, but I'll take a good quilted top over a great flame top, if I get to choose. And thanks for the link.
