"Chatty lot aren't they... "

LOL!

This quote says a lot about that forum:

"well, i really don't care about the tone in my neck pickup, and i'm sure over 90% of everybody in this forum agrees. True Ibanez players go for the METAL in Ibanez (which is what Ibanezes are for)"

Ummm... OK :-)

I think it's a good thing to have another Ibanez discussion board. Maybe there will be some cross-pollination between this forum and that one.

Seems most of the discussions there are geared towards shred guitars and players. Even the thread entitled 'Signature Models' dealt only with solid body Ibanez instruments...for Satriani/Vai wannabes. Not one comment about Metheny, Benson, Scofield, or Pass. Interesting.

There is an entertaining thread about the AR3000 Prestige model. One contributor wrote that only 25 were shipped to the USA. Is that true?

Tim,

Have you checked out the jemsite.com forum? This is a very popular discussion board for Ibanez shred oriented guitars. They are really fired up over their RGs and JEMs there. Just like the Ibanez Forum, there is a lot of misinformation and questions there that could easily be answered, like "when is Ibanez going to make a fixed bridge Sabre". I had posted there some, but they weren't interested in my vast knowledge of non-shred Ibanez guitars :-)

It seems like noone is interested like Sven says about anything but shredder guitars. I posted a link the ICW in the vintage section to steer young collectors in the right direction!

I checked out that forum and two things right off the bat...

1) like six says, theyre awfully chatty arent they...

2) there also seems to be a lot of c**p over there, no real info and a lot of ranting...

I dont know about the rest of you guys but like freak said, im in my 20's and an admirer of the oldies and the proud owner of a few too...
I findthe info on this forum incredibly helpful, i dont post an awful lot but i sure have learnt a lot from you guys. much more entertaining than the ibanez forum.

thanks all
