Its a Fender System 2 or System 3 bridge. They were used on various Fender Japan instruments between 1985 and 1988. The guitar in question appears to be a Contemporary Stratocaster, one of the models that used that bridge. They were Fender's attempt at a proprietary locking bridge system. Of course like everyone else Fender eventually moved on to installing Floyd Rose or Kahler vibratos on their "shred" guitars.
