Hi everybody,
This may not be strictly guitar related, but I've tried to make it that way.... I am interested in what you guys and gals drive. Tell us all about your ride. Is your choice of vehicle in any way consistent with your choice in guitar??
I'll start.
The car I drive is a Mistubishi Ralliart Magna. It is kinda like an Ibanez in that it is an under-appreciated sleeper with mucho performance. Visually, it looks more like a cracked mirror Iceman than my fave Ibanez squeeze an FG100. Its all points and sharp lines - quite aggressive really.
The Ralliart Magna is a limited run (less than 500) ultra sporting version of a family sedan. Its a 180 kilowatt front wheel drive V6. It does the standing 400 metres (quarter mile) in 14.1 seconds. It's an Aussie designed and built car but didn't do well in sales because its not a Holden or Ford, and Aussies have a big phobia about anything thats not rear wheel drive.

Ok Mr Roadstar,
I see you're a Chevy man. How does this correlate to your love of Roadstars??
Ginger & Dave - please elaborate on the choice of car and how that relates to your guitar choices. Oh and Dave, I've had my car for 3 years now and have shortlisted the 300C as its successor!!!!

What I drive has very little to do with what I play. The only similarity would be that they're cheap.

Man, I really loved this car!
240bhp, supercharged Detroit iron, with head-up display, Borla exhaust, etc., etc,.
Just traded it in after over 115,000 trouble free miles!

I drive two cars. The everyday car is a 1996 Lexus SC400. I think it is a fancy copy of a pony car(V-8, long hood, short deck, two doors and rear wheel drive), but really better than all the real pony cars. Just like an AS200 in relationship to the 335.
The second car is a 1991 Toyota Turbo MR2. It is just like a vintage Ibanez, low price, great quality and high performance, but nobody cares because it is MIJ.

Both of my vehicles are foreign-made (German and Japanese), so I guess that correlates positively with my interest in foreign-made Ibanez guitars.
Gibson and Fender are better than Ibanez, like Ford and Chevrolet are better than BMW and Honda

All MIJ here.
-2000 Nissan Altima SE ...like an Ibanez... good price, good performance & low maintenance.
(Though I wish I still had my Acura Integra that the wife wrecked!)
-2003 Toyota Highlander ...inherited Mom's "Camry wagon on steroids". Not really my style, but it's sure nice for haulin' gear to gigs.
...speaking of which ...Paul, how do you get your gear from Point A to B on any of those? Something else "not in the pic"? |

Now, a 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS. Before that, a Honda Accord EX. I guess I like Japanese in everything. Although the wife is of mostly German ancestry. That would explain the Volkswagon Rabbit before the Honda. |

I don't think I will buy another Nissan, Like Ibanez their new lines except for the high end are ugly and cheap.
I drive a 5 year old car because I have not had a car payment in three years!! That is why I have so much cash to use for my guitar habits. Not only that, My father in law has about 70 original vintage Fords. Ranging from about 1921 to 2005. So when I have a jones for hot cars I go to the in-law's!!!! |

I don't.
A couple of bandmembers drive big fat(company) vans. Those are used for dragging gig-gear around.
If I had my way my garage would probably be very close to the Bears'. Only a Chevy Corvette C3 added.
There is a family car in front of the house but the mss considers that hers...... |

Munch, I hope you're not that bloke who hoons past me every morning on the Kwinana Freeway... 
1981 Mazda 323 currently being used by my daughter. My son had it for a couple of years prior to her getting it and they've both done their utmost to completely wreck it.
My wife drives a 1992 Toyota Camry, the only damage to that was inflicted by... my daughter <sigh>
I currently drive a 2004 Mitsubishi Triton Ute. Underpowered heap of junk that it is, but it's a fully maintained company vehicle, so I suppose I shouldn't really complain. Apart from the hoons on the Kwinana Freeway, that is! |

Another Aussie here - I have:
- 1985 Peugeot 505 wagon (to be sold or stripped)
- 1978 Lancia Beta HPE (under 'restoration')
- About to take possession of 1979 Peugeot 504 sedan.
All of my cars are old Euro classics (in my mind anyway!). There is a link with my interest in old Ibanezes. I can work on both the guitars and cars myself, both are foreign to my country, both offer great value for money as second-hand items, both are hobbies of mine, both have a niche following.

Renault Megane - The point and shoot of cars. Automatic everything ie: Lights, wipers and the only small car I've ever driven with the comfort of a large one!! a great thing with petrol prices the way they are!
Munch, I would of figured you with a classic Hot Rod of some kind....ala Brian Setzer. I remember an interview with him where he said...."I don't play pointy guitars and I don't drive anything but Classic Rod cars"

Munch, that car looks positively BADA$$.
I've loved cars since I was 8, and Every car I have ever owned has been rear wheel drive:
College: a Vette. Anctuallt a Chavette which I bought for $150 so I could get around in the snow. My Kawasaki ZX7 didn't do too well in the Colorado winters, although I tried.
My first real car: '92 Toyata MR2. I still miss that car.
My first grown up car: '95 BMW 325is with sport package. It could (and did) do it all, from fast jaunts up mountain roads to hauling lumber, bikes and scuba gear. It met it's demise last year when my wife got slammed by a speeding Bronco last year.
