I added a hand made in China truss rod cover to my ArtStar AS80.It has a pic of a bird (looks like a Crane)in mother of pearl.Do you think this type of T.R.C instead of orignal,would add value or decrease the value of the guitar?Any comments are welcome!

At this point in time, an AS80 doesn't have a lot of collectible value, so it probably isn't going to add or detract from the value, at all.

However, you can never tell what the future will hold. The safest advice is don't make any mods that aren't reversible (you didn't have to add any extra screw holes, did you?) and keep the original parts. This way, you should be able to put the guitar back into shape, if it becomes more desireable in the future.
