I'm trying to restore a pre-serial number 2387 korina Vee and I need a truss rod cover. If anyone has one, to sell that would be great. Otherwise, I need to make one up, so I need a good/accurate tracing/scan. Somekind of picture to show the b/w layers would great, too.

Can anybody help me out?

Thanks,
JohnS

John,

I have one to use as a template if you can't dig one up.

Jeff:

Thanks! If nothing else turns up by the time I get back from vacation I'll take you up on that.

John,

After diggin' out the V I'm beggining to believe that my truss cover may not be original. The shape is just a bit off. From the catalog photos it appears that the original truss cover has a bell shape to it. The cover on my guitar looks more like a rounded arrow-head. The bottom of it is flat, which doesn't look right. The two bottom screws were missing in it, but I just figured some previous owner was just too lazy to put them back in (like me!). Now I'm beggining to believe that they're missing because the holes don't line up.

Maybe one of the other V owners can confirm my doubts of its originality.

I have three 2387ct (all serials however)and they all have the same cover. I do not have one in spare but how about shipping it over to you so you can duplicate it and then return the original (or the duplicate if it is really good....)

JS: would it help if I shoot a closeup of it and post it over here or email it to you?

Lespaul:

A real good digital photo will help. However, if you have a scanner and can take the t.r. cover off, you could lay it on the bed and scan it and send it. That way I can print it out and have a perfect template.

I never did say thanks to you guys for helping me get scans of the truss rod cover. THANK!

To make one is more intricate than I anticipated.

So, I'm still looking for the truss rod cover and also both pickup surrounds (black, flat bottoms) to finish off my Vee restoration.

If you've got some original parts in good condition (but NOS would be ultra cool), just email me.

Thaks
