hello all,

im hoping someone might be able to help me on this, i have never had this problem and am not quite sure what to make of it.

i bought a guitar (washburn N2) which I had the guy in the store setup for me before i left. everything was fine for a day. Then when i picked it upto playthere was buzzing everywhere. so i sighted the neck and noticed a "hump" in the middle of the neck and some relief. clearly thats not normal so i decided to setup it up my self. I done some truss rod adjustments and got the neck relatively straight and then tweaked it so that there is a touch of relief from about the 7 or 9th frets to the first. i setup the floating trem and now i have no buzz. i thought i would leave it for a day to let everything settle. i picked it up again this morning and it still plays well, no buzzes, the action is good, its still in tune but while sighting the neck again it looks as if there is a slight hump round about the 7th fret and then the relief towards the 1st fret. thi is on the bass E side, on the treble E side, the neck actually looks straight although with a straight rule there is a bit of relief. the guitar plays well and there is no tell tale sign of trouble. could it be the fretboard isnt 100% level? is my neck warped? i would i tell if the neck is warped? can the neck be straightened? its subtle but its there and enough to irritate me. while i was doing the truss adjustment s noticed the rod loosens very suddenly at 1 point and tightening as well, its gradual and then all of a sudden its tight not even 1 and a half turn later?

any suggsetions? Like i said, its palying well with no buzzing and the action is great but when i sight it i see these oddities. am i maybe just seeing things?

I would agree...attempting to fix something that is not broken(to your ears) is almost guarranted to make it worse. Most likely you do have issues but as Dave said....stop looking for trouble.
