LE 520 finish problems

Info/suggestions needed badly...I have a Lonestar LE 520 that has exessive "milking" (whitish "fog" in the finish) and I was wondering if someone could give me some advice as how to get rid of that flaw.. The guit is second hand, so I have no clue what-so-ever what has happened.. usually that sort of problem occurrs when the guit is exposed to great humidity... My luthier buddy said it was the result of apllying the final clear coating before the prior coats of finish were totally dry. According to him, there is no cure short of a refin. As an aside, he liked my LE405 so much he refused to give it back to me after he fixed some wiring problem and made me sell it to him. I have worked with guitars quite a long time, and ran out of tricks, and, I must say that this finishing "flaw" was one thought. Because after some time-consuming efforts there was no change what so ever. Tried dry air, silica-gel and some other "voodoo"-tricks.. So it remains a great player of a kind, unfortunately never a looker... mine has more terrible foggy spots on the back than yours. Thanks for the info mate!! fox
