I think it would be great for all of us to post some pic's of our beloved guitars being used by us. So how 'bout it guys? Don't be shy!

It would be good to put some faces to the names on this board. So I'll jump in first.

Here's a photo of me playing my FG100 at an outdoor winery gig about 4 years ago.

Rockin' with the FG

See your faces here soon!

Mark:

I tried to start something similar over a year ago, but nobody followed suite.

If forum members are having doubts about uploading photos, check out the following Help pages. (www.phoenix-creative.com/IbanezCollectors/FAQMain.html)

Anyway, this is me playing at friend's going-away party. Another friend and I played a few songs together in front of a couple of hundred people. That's an '81 AS200 in my mits and you can see my '85 Artist Special Edition in the lower right background.

Who's next? Maniac Mike...Seth, Spiro? Don't be shy.

P.S. I reserve the right to remove anything I feel is offensive. So keep your clothes on, please. J

Play that funky music white boy!

And here's a publicity shot outtake for my first band - Four on the Floor.
Open you eyes Dude!!

Here are a few pics of me in my bands 'Harlequyn' & 'Architect' in the late 80's & early 90's. The B & W one is me smashing a Les Paul copy (while my musician waits in the background) at London's Marquee club in 88. The musician no longer has the dodgy trem, it's been restored with it's original hardware. Do I look like Spiro in the top right pic?

It might be a good thing that I don't really have pictures on me playing, You know, I sometimes make a pretty bad face when I get to "the feel".. ;o) Fortunately, this is very blurry one from my friend's graduating party, and the costume theme was halloween. :o) It's me at the back playing RS1010SL that I sold soon after that.

Aki and SL

I also don't use that kinds of clothes regularly. The hair is the same though..

Tim:

I don't know about Spiro, but it looks like you were doing a Slash impersonation, with the leather the hat. :)

Looks like you had some serious gigs.

Whoa.. Look what I found! Just for the health of us all I resized this one roughly. That's me rising up from bed in the morning... And yes, the CN200 was pretty new to me that time, I really lived with that one for a while. One could think there is some kind of "action" in here also.

Aki and CN200

Sorry about this, guys! I do have underwear, You know. ;op

Hope you didn't wear that on stage Aki! And John, I had the hat before Slash....but he got on TV before me....
I guess we did have some serious gigs, we toured with Big Country, Uriah Heep, Zodiac Mindwarp and Ghost Dance (ex-Sisters of Mercy), But alas, we never quite made it to the top, c'est la vie :-(

Aki,

I never ever thought I'd see freaky porn on this site!! Wear some pants dude - you are scaring me!!!

Tim, You certainly have a Spiro/Slash thing going on. I bet you spent more on you clothes than you guitar! BTW, I heard that the lead singer of Big Country committed suicide. Have you heard about this?

Cheers,

Mark

Well, the clothes did sometimes seem more important back then!
I did hear about Stuart Adamson committing suicide. It's very sad, we didn't get to talk to him much, he was a quiet guy, but all the band seemed like really nice people....unlike certain other 'rock stars' I've met along the way...

This is me and my '82 AM100 during a recent gig.

And yes I do have early 90's big hair pictures too but it's better for everybody to keep them in my drawer. ;-)

Tim:

I think you should start a new thread in the Misc. section and tell us your stories of the "rock stars" you've met.

JohnM:

Come on, let see the "big hair" pix.

Hi all!

I have a problem: now he lost his hair I don't recognise Spiro anymore. Let's bet on: who is Spiro in the picture: the left guy, the right guy or the guy in the middle?
Just pulling a leg here, Spiro! Rock isn't in the hair, rock is in the hart (but if you don't mind: I'll keep my long blond hair for a while, see http://www.ibanez-vintage-page.com under "collectors".)
Greetz,
Harry

Wow - this is fun!

I remember when I had hair too...not just long - but real honest-to-fullness hair! Now I'm sportin' a cul-de-sac as 40 years old approaches this September... But thinking back - I have a couple of old pics of me playing the Ibanezes...

(1) My Destroyer DT155 - with a simulated custom paint job (a glossy folder held on with double-sided tape) Circa 1988
Mark plays his DT155

(2) A composite photo of me playing my '78 PS10 (traded a LP for it) and '82 IC400 (bought new). Circa 1982
Mark plays his PS10 and IC400

Spiro - I just think you're lucky you have the hair to cut!! :)
