I have currently got 3 Ibanez e-guitars, and I sure understand the mess it has caused in our heads. But there are also other brilliant guitars.

Is there anything like this in the web for Washburn maniacs? Blade, Carvin (I know the Carvin Museum), Bill Lawrence, anything? Or just people showing off their collections.. I have been lazy taking pictures, but there is something at:

http://www.hut.fi/~arintama/guitar/

Old pages, but my instruments are up to date.

Fender has made so much crap that I am not interested in their current guitars too much, but would really like to try those Blade (www.bladeguitars.com) strats. They look.. tremendious! Also Carvin guitars are greatly appreciated by many happy users.

Anything to feed a hungry surfer?

Aki:

I can't help with other sites for the other brands that you mentioned. I'm sure they are out there somewhere.

I enjoyed roaming around your site, seeing your guitar heroes and your guitars.

I don't know if you get Vintage Guitar magazine in Finland, but they have Mark Knopfler on the cover playing his amber Pensa-Suhr. In the interview he says he's shifted to guitars with much bigger necks than he used to play. Like his '58 and '59 LPs and a '59 ES335.

Aki,

I visited your site and noticed you posted a picture of my old Ibanez AM255. I took that picture about 3 months ago.

Do you know own that guitar?

By the way - you have a very nice site!

Harold:

No, the one is not mine. I got my 255 only a month ago, and I just took the first picture that came across showing an AM255, sorry! I will take pics of my own guitar shortly, although mine is not nearly in as good condition as the one in the pic.

If me showing Your picture offends You anyway, or if You want Your name or a link to be shown next to the pic, just let me know.

And John:

VG is available here also, but I haven't ordered any. But I have drooled the Pensa guitars for a long time, the minute I found out that Mark used one. But does the "bigger neck" stand for the scale, or thickness? I thought Pensa guitars had the same scale that Strats. I don't know about the latest Knopfler album, but Mark used LP's quite a lot after his Strat and Pensa years, didn't he?

I saw a full history of Knopfler's equipment usage somewhere in the web. It was quite interesting.

And now, off I go giggin' with my Swamp ash Strat, H&K Tube Factor, and Carvin XV-100 all-tube combo.. :o)
Till tomorrow.

Aki,

The AM255 picture is no problem whatsoever!

ENJOY!
