Hi all!
I just bought a terrific Ibanez Telecaster Custom copy, but not the black one that we allready know. This one is a replica of the Fender Tele Custom "old style": normal tele-setup (two single coils, separate metal control plate with 3 way switch, volume and tone), sunburst body, single white body-bindingstrip (front and back), white pickguard. As you all know Hasy and I have a big amount of old catalogues but I have not found any picture of this guitar nor any information so far. Unfortunately we don't have the 1972 catalogue and I think this Tele could be in that one, since this guitar has a chrome metal trussrodcover and that's typical for Ibanez Fender copies from 1970 until app. 1973. But than again: I also heard that Ibanez made various models that were never listed in any catalogues or price-lists. Could this guitar be such a "forgotten one"? Question: has anybody ever seen an Ibanez Tele Custom (sunburst with binding) before, in life or pictures? Michael Wright, if you read this, does my discription ring a bell???? I know for sure this is a real Ibanez and no fake.
