I just bought myself a new Musicman Stingray bass today at the Guitarbox in Meppel, talked to the owner a while then told him I have an Ibanez 2388b bass and we talked about that guitar for awhile then he said he used to collect Ibanez etc. turns out this guy is Evert Jepma, ofcourse you know but I was really surprised meeting this guy, I asked him if he knew a certain "Harry" and "Hasy" and ofcourse he said yes, we talked a bit about the info he gave you and talked some more about my Rick bass which turned out to be previously owned by Evert (atleast he sold it in his shop) he also was the guy that put in the Rick pick ups, man what a strange coincidence, just wanted to let you know....(btw. too bad he had to sell his entire Ibanez Collection to set up the store) |

Yeah, I know! I just got to know Evert a little bit too late: almost his entire collection had already been sold at that time in order to get the money to set up his shop. Amongst the "already gone" guitars was also a beautiful Moderne. He is the guy I bought the Black Eagle from; that was the only old Ibanez that was left.
He supported Hasy and I by borrowing us his collection of old Ibanez catalogues, flyers, reviews etc. he is still having. This summer when I go visit Hasy I will ask Evert again if I can take it along with me, because he still has interesting things we'd like to scan in order to put it on our homepage. What about your Rickenbacker copy: (still) not willing to sell it to me?
