Hi,

I was thinking that maybe it's usefull to make a photo gallery about Ibanez models

Lets say a new directory with many sub-directories, one for model where you can load your model images.

That way we can put all the images that are spreaded in many post together.

I hope it helps!

Cain,

Helluva good idea, but... That's gonna be one f'ing big directory!

Lemme see, about 25 different models, times an average of 3 colors each = 75 photos. And that's just Roadstars @ one photo each!

Cheers
Steve

The idea is good, I thought about it also. If we use strictly JPEG's the size can be contolled. Still we are talking about a big, big storage need. Anyone with a hint to a possible solution?

What if we scanned existing/Past catalogs, and place them by year, that way one picture would have a full page of guitars.

My thoughts exactly!

The storage cap would be pretty high. Maybe if somebody with a fast connection could use their computer as a web server to host the database. Or I wouldn't mind donating a few $ for virtual hosting fees either.

I've already sort of done this with the AM models - I've hoarded all the photos and data I've found here, eBay and other places and put it at my web site.

What if we a different person were in charge of maintaining the different sections; Mr. Roadstar could be in charge of... hmmm... let's see...

Why not take it one step further and have a repository for specs?

I think some way to organize this goldmine of data and images would be beneficial, because there's a huge amount of stuff here, but you've really got to to some digging to find it sometimes. For instance, I'd love to be able to see photos of all the Roadstars with their specs and production dates, because it's very unclear to me - I'm sure all the info is here, I'd just have to spend about 2 days tracking it all down and making some sense of it.

It would be nice also, as Lightning said if we could have all the catalogs available in an organized manner. I'm willing to contribute to this cause.
