Okay ya'll,

I stumbled on yet another mystery serial number:

A700528

January 1970? Hmm... That ain't gonna work. Factory code "A" from 1987? Ever seen an "A" factory code. Me neither...

I'd go for January 1987. I guess there was a transition period when they were still using the letter for the month but already changed to the one digit for the year.
