Hey,
Last week I got this Hondo L-5 copy from '81, until '83 those Hondo guitars (not Hondo II) were manufactured in the Tokai factory in Japan,
and after trying many archtops and playing many guitars.. this is finally the best one of them.
Every detail of it screams quality, from the abalon block inlays on the fretboard, the fretboard binding that continues on the frets and the build quality that seems to be very strong and sturdy for this type of guitar.
It also has replaced tuners which are very easy and don't get out of tune and I believe those tuners are Ibanez. Seymour Duncan pickups.
I just thought I'd share because I'm very happy about it, finally. I got her for 500$.

btw, it weights a bit more than 3 kilos, is that normal for an L-5?
