Ebay Item #330142989592

I can't find a double-neck strat in any of the Ibanez catalogs. This one has a B76... serial number, which suggests it was made in 1976. Anyone ever seen anything like this?

Ahhhhhh, I like it in white. I'm pretty sure we've seen one of these in a burst before.

Hi guys

Yes, I've seen this one before. In fact: I see it evry day when I walk upstairs because there I have one hanging on the wall
Mine is an Antoria too and these axes are very rare! They are beauties to see, but the 12string section is difficult to play, since the width of the neck is just about the same as the width of a regular 6 string.

JohnS: the twin sunburst version you are referring to is a combination of a 4 string (Jazz)bass and a 6 string Strat. Here's a picture of mine.

Kind greetz,

Harry comes to the rescue again! :-) Thanks for helping my fading memory.

Have you ever posted about how these play/sound? Are they cool-looking novelties or real players?

Harry, do you own both of those or just the sunburst?

Ibanezkid
The pictured twins above are both actally mine

JohnS: The white beauty (serial number C763419) is a bit difficult to play on the 12 string section, like I wrote before. The sound however is really great! Sparkling, open and yet warm. The 6 string version (with a stock 5-way switch) is not different from any Strat-type Ibanez.
The 4/6 sunburst one (serial number B762009): The bass section is warm, full and it really has a great Jazz Bass neck. Again the guitar section (also stock 5-way switch) has the typical Strat feel and sound.
Needless to say that both instruments are HEAVY!!

Harry
