I have purchased and received the Kent Armstrong Johnny Smith replacement pickup for the GB20. Since these pickups do not come with the actual lead wire, instead I have two soldering posts.
I also have the volume control and the jack on the mount.

Will any shielded wire work to make the connection from the jack to the pickup?

What is the small wire with the clear plastic covering attached to my volume pot, and where does it go???

Sorry, this is my first time wiring a single pickup, and first time with an archtop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

Chris~ Why not give Kent an email note about your issues. I bet he would be able to help you.

Are you doing the install yourself?
