I started guitar playing again over the last year or so and I have tried two different guitar shops to have two different guitars worked on (87 Roadstar and 77 LP Copy), both of which I will never set foot in again. I will refrain from naming names, as I am not sure of the etiquette on the forum.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for guitar techs in the Chicagoland area? I am a hobbyist player looking for someone who can do a good job and provide reasonable customer service/prices.

Randy, what do you need to have done to your guitars? I could recommend a good shop in the SW suburbs. Send me an email on which shops that you had trouble with...kinda cuious...
