I don't get it. It's 42 kB, TIFF/JPEG. What can be the problem?

Ginger, maybe it's too wide or too long? 47KB might still be too much for this site.

Do you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager (it's one of the tools in Microsoft Office 2003)? This tool offers a compression capability for "web" stuff that works well for me here.

The syntax you are using for uploading pictures is wrong. Try again.

Ginger:

I think MK is right. If the syntax was right, but the file wasn't acceptable then there would be a placeholder image.

Copy the following out (hightlight and Ctrl+C) and paste it (Ctrl+V) into your own message:

\image{AR105AV}

BTW, you can't upload Tif files. Only JPGs and GIFs.

I got the placeholder image in between, but when I click DOWNLOAD, I just get a string of characters (the image name).

If I look at the image properties it says "JPEG bitmap" (JPG). Last time I tried this I got stamp sized pics and now I get just text. I'm using Corell Photo House. It worked fine in the past.

Make sure that the file isn't a CMYK jpeg. It must be an RGB jpeg.

If it still doesn't work, send me an email with the file as an attachment and I'll look at it.

Perhaps I should try it on my office computer, I have more software there. Or perhaps I should uninstall and reinstall this Corel Photo House, I think it has lost some of its conversion possibilities.

Anyway, what I tried to do is posting the images from the ad above. Especially the top of the body with the Duncans. They will stay available for a while I guess, but we shouldn't wait too long.

I meant the ad mentioned in the burl top thread of course, not in the testing area.

Juha,
What did you do? Copy and paste them straight into a folder OR copy and create an new image file with what's in the clipboard memory, which you can resize etc?

First enlarge each pic at a time on eBay by clicking the thumbnails (small pics) (actually show bigger pic in bigger frame)
then for each enlarged pic

Right click - Copy -- Paste (into a folder)
or
Right click - Save Picture as ...

Sometimes you don't need to enlarge the pics. Right click - Properties will tell ... well, the properties of the pic.
