Your image is larger than 100k!!!

it is showing as 150k in the properties dialogue box... It needs to be less than 100k otherwise it wont show!!

If, however, after resizing, the picture "refuses" to upload , you might have firewall-related problems...just had some recently, after some upgrades/configuration changes.. guitars3

Spiro:

How are you seeing the size of Freak's image? It should not have been uploaded to the server.

Fox:

Looks like you spoke too soon. :)

Is the firewall problem you experienced something that other forum members might come across with residential type DSL or cable connections and commercial software? Or are you talking about a situation that is much more secure, like a commercial business would setup?

I am using my home computer and this is getting frustrating to say the least!

DSL verizon.

Freak:

What browser and version number are you using?

Does Verizon make you use some proprietary software to surf the web?

If this is a firewall problem then it could be something software-based or built into the DSL router/modem. But it's not normal to have a residential DSL installation set to refuse to upload files.

John, verizon uses MSN for web service however I have tried using internet explorer alone and also AOL that I have so maybe it is a firewall issue.

Johns, after those aforementioned upgrades/config updates I´ve encountered these weird problems, I do not know what causes them, nor does our "security expert" and webmaster.. Several times I´ve posted picts here with no hassle what-so-ever.. And this is not the only address I´ve encountered some difficulties, trying to move data..
Maybe a disturbance in the Force??3guitars

Are you talking about a software firewall? I ask because I use a combination hub/firewall (hardware) with a DSL hookup for my home network. I haven't had any of these kind of problems.

I also dumped Internet Explorer in favor of Mozilla Firefox a few months ago. I got tired of the constant maintenance even WITH Norton running. Adware/spyware/pop-ups/virus problems are all but gone now!

Hmm. Let´s try without Norton, office hours bye bye... 3guitars

Freak and Fox: Looks like the problems have been identified and rectified! Let the uploads begin. :)

Fox: Nice collection of doublecutaways. Is that an SG2000?

Steve: From my experience Mozilla/Firefox is still susceptible to malware, spyware, adware, etc. Not quite as welcoming as IE is to outright attacks. I run AntiVir and Ad-Aware to combat all these trouble makers. Much better than trusting Norton's products, which caused more problems than they cured.

John.

Yes, there is some nasty stuff out there that can infiltrate Firefox. However, Firefox allows you turn off functions that give malicious code easy access to the system. IE is integral with the OS and cannot be configured in that manner.

FYI, Ad-Aware installs it's own spy/adware. I had a helluva time removing it.

Johns, the guitars in that picture are Yamaha SG3000 -83, Ibanezes ar AR5000 -81 and AR300 Brass Beauty-edition also from -81. And what comes to the main problem here, I still don´t know what is the reason Norton´s firewall started to be so picky ´bout data uploads..But it seems to work when shut off. :)
Mr.Roadstar, sometimes some tasks demand lots o´time and effort..And removal of Ad-Aware is surely one of them.. :)

Steve and Fox:

Considering the importance of it, I'm going to start a new thread in the Misc. section where we can discuss AV, firewall, etc. software.
