Can you shed any light on the history of these elusive beasts. In particular what is their country of origin. I have three of them, two just have serial numbers starting with an S on the back of the headstock. The third says it is made in Korea. The Korean one is apparently made from lower quality parts example the tuning keys are less substantial and of a different shape and the mother of pearl portion of the fret markers appears to be plastic on this one. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike K

S = Samick, made in Korea.
