Hasy:

Here's some pictures of a model 992. What kind of info do you have about this model?

Also, how about a value, if the owner was wanting to sell it?

Hi John

Here some info about your guitar:

Ibanez Model 992 (shown)
Built in the year 64/65
Identification:
The dots on the fretboard ( first series got the 3th dot on the place 10th fret, not the 9th)
The switcher mounted on the upper level on the fretboard (First series are on lower level)
The scrathplate: (the first series got a white one)
The Backplate, the holes/screws are in similar line - first one got diffrent - like a A - lower measure.

Value:
30 % of the produktion in the hoshino factory are produced with the ibz metal logo, the rest on with diffrent brand names.
This guitar looks good 9/10, only the tuners are not original.
For the american market, the value will be between 250 -300 $

Have fun

Hasy:

Thanks. Is this equipped with a tremolo? I can't tell with that tailpiece cover.

Well, the hole is obviously there.
On Hasy's site is the older version (from 1964)

with the switches on the other side etc. and a trem bar.
