I guess it is possible for me to buy this.

2020

Trem arm is missing.
How much should I pay for it?

Hi Talajuha
This 2020 is the rarer version with the split headstock (Teisco-style).
The later ones (whom we see more frequently) have 70īs Fender Strat-shaped headstocks.
This guitar may be worth around 250 to 300 US dollars.

Kind greetz,
Harry

Thanks,

I sent an email to the owner and offered around 250 USD. He has told that the guitar is even playable, everything works (except no trem arm), and that it has 'personal sound'.

I have seen some of these for sale in Finland (more than on eBay) and wondered why it has been so popular here. Cheap(?) guitar, model between Strato (other Fender?) and Hoefner xxx?

Hello Juha

The Model 2020ths (teisco head shape) was built around 1969/70. It was sold for a short time periode ( i think one year ) and only aviable with the Ibanez Metal Logo nailed on the headstock.
I read some storys, these necks are from the teisco de rey stocks/produktions, who closed the factory in the end of the sixties.

The 2020Ths are rare and hard to find.

Value in europe is 250 euro, i sort them 3 times here on xxbay. US Market - see Harry`s answer above.

Take care

Hasy
