I recently bought an Ibanez Roadster. All I know about it is that it was made in Sept. 1979 according to the serial number and it was made in Japan. I've only ever seen them with a 2x2 headstock before this one. Does anybody know anything about this bass... Model number and any other info would be appreciated

Alas, I too have a lack of knowledge when Roadsters are the topic. However, that headstock looks just like a Blazer bass.

Looks like a RS-800 BS to me. Here is a scan of the '79 'Supplement No.1' to the '78 catalog...
