I own a black beauty (Les Paul copy) with serial c771537(March 1977).It has a bolt-on neck , gold hardware and super 70's pick ups.
Is it a 2350 or 2650 or what?

I recently bought AEL40 SRLV.
She sounds great when unplugged but when I plugg her in , the sound is quiet and when I hit open E string the bass is killing me!
I lowered the action (sand the saddle) because it was too high.
Is that making the bass problem?
She was also quiet before sanding...

Your Les Paul is a 2350. Missing pickguard and flipped neck pickup. Other than that it looks original to me.

I'd guess that sanding the saddle IS your problem, with the acoustic. That would affect the balance of vibration sent to the peizo under it. Might be that you didn't get the saddle seated correctly, but I doubt it.

Was the action really "too high" for an acoustic, or were you trying to make it play like the LP? Acoustics are supposed to have higher action than electrics.

Early '77 2350. Very similar to mine, but my tuners are Gotoh "star" tuners. Quite possible they changed the tuners mid year.
Neck pickup has been rotated 180 degrees.

Yes, sanding the saddle on your AEL40 could have caused an issue if it's not flat on the bottom. Also, consider what kind of amp you're running it through. Remember that peizo pickup acoustics must have a preamp. Assuming the Ibanez has one built in, check the battery if you haven't already.
