Hello Captain,
I'm new to ICW (great site BTW) and have been trying to find out anything I can about my Concord 755. I've looked at a ton of threads, visited most of the vintage urls listed here and done several searches for info but other then a hit from Acetan in the Acoustic section and one other from a guy asking if Ibanez actually made a 755 I've drawn a blank. I've also looked at several catalogs form the 70's and have never seen a 755. My guitar was purchased in 75 used from a retailer (which is out of business now) for my mom, she in turn gave it to me about 25 years ago. It sounds and plays great and other then the nicks and chips (from moving across the US twice) it's in good shape. I'm thinking about having it reconditioned and want to know if it's worth it or just keep it as is and get another Ibanez. Here are some pics.

Did Ibanez actually make this guitar? Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim as far as I can tell, the 755 model was a cheaper version of the Hummingbird copy, buy using a plain pickguard and small block inlays, it would be made from a spruce ply top and mahogany back and sides. This model is not listed in any catalogues, so I feel that it's another "spot production " model. This is were they would build around 100-200 units and see what sought of responce they get from the market before it becomes a full scale production model

Thanks Captain!! And welcome back, honeymoon, right? Again thanks for the info and the great site. I'm looking at getting a new electric in the near future and I'm sure I'll find everything I need here.

Tim
