ElDegas Strat made by Ibanez?

It would be impossible to say that the same factory that made some Ibanez branded, Strat replicas didn't also make othe Strat replicas like your elDegas. But technically, Ibanez did NOT make guitars for anyone. That's because Ibanez is a "brand name". Hoshino is the parent company that owns the name and contracts with any number of factories (first in Japan, then Korea and Indonesia, now adding China) to make guitars to their specs. After they are made, Hoshino takes care of distributing them around the world. Buegeleisen & Jacobson did the same thing in the 70s (on a much smaller scale). Who they contracted with and what factories were used to fill the orders, is a mystery to me. Johns, is there actually someone called "Buegeleisen" (flat iron)? In Holland that's a defence soccer player in a comic strip from the 70s! (Sjakie Strijkijzer). About the guitar: it has the same pickguard (with the short slit for the MIJ selector switch) as on my natural neck through body Jarock strat. I modified mine totally except for the beautifully aged pickups: new MIJ potmeters and an open Fender Japan selector switch, a tortoise MIJ pickguard, and all hardware in gold. The upgrade costed more than the guitar, but it's so beautiful! (BTW, I wouldn't do that with an Ibanez).
