Cleversj, looking through my archives it's not part of the copy series range. The half vine inlay was started on the Concert Series range in the 1978 catalogue. In saying this, it may have been a "spot production model" for the Japanese market only, which is why it doesn't appear in any of the catalogues. The serial number the seller provides indicates that the guitar was built in July 1977, which is very close to the ending time of all copy series guitars. The 2386 model which was the catalogue production model has thicker binding around the headstock & a twin V pearl inlay under the Ibanez logo, the truss rod cover is the same. The inlays are the square block type on the neck.

I'd like to throw this on out to the masses and get there opinions on this as well.

Captain Ibanez :-)
