G'day MK, well as far as numbers of units made of these products,is a bit like trying to work out how many different grains of sand there are on the beach, but when I get into the office tomorrow I will try and dig out the info an these models you are after.

Hi MK, I checked my archives at the office and the only unit that was bought here to australia was the AD220, it's a rack mount anolog delay unit, sadly I could only find a copy of a service manual of it and it was dated Sept 1982, approx. 40 of these units were bought into Australia back then. I know before you would by one second hand, you would get it checked by a technician as parts on a unit this old are not readily avaialable anymore. We had one in for repair last year and the components we need to fix it are no longer produced, but on a brighter note, if it's been in a studio enviroment, then perhaps it's a deal.

I just purchased an AD-220 and was wondering if you also had a user's manual to go along with the service manual. I was particularly wondering how to most effectively use the output and the delay output. The signal for the delay output is weaker than the other output when I sent the signals to separate channels. Is it supposed to be this way? Any info would be great.
Thanks much,
Lenny

I have an AD-230. I've never used 'Delay Out'. I've only used 'Output' and it works great. The delay is superb.

The AD-230 has an input (pre-effect) & output (post-effect) level. There is also a 'Delay Level' setting which determines how much wet signal is added to the dry signal. It works perfectly using 'Output'.

I presume the "Delay Out" only passes the delayed (wet) signal, therefore, I suspect its volume is controlled using 'Delay Level'.

Not sure if this helps as the AD-220 may be different or my assumption may be incorrect.
