Dear All, it's good to see after the Captain's line entry on a certain thread that you are statring to explore the happy day's found at your Ibanez wholesaler/distributor for guitar parts. I'm glad to see that the fellow Ibaneezer's in the USA in particular have finally got the grapefruits ( balls to the Aussies out there ) to pickup the phone to Bensalem P.A. and ask the questiond\s in a proper manner...congrats ! however you NKOTB( new kids on the block ) remember that shitty 80's boy band :( don't go trying to be Chuck Yeager and pushing the outside of the envolope for parts, just ask your ol' Captain for insider trading info first and life for your restoration will be a lot smoother....now I've had my rant......what's your thought's Player ?

Captain Ibanez :)

Cap'n,

I really have only one true need in the way of parts right now: A Gold ShortStop bridge. And I'd settle for a Chrome one.

Any chance of getting one somewhere?

Cheers

Captain,

I'm in the process of restoring a Roadstar II (RS240) equipped with a powerocker trem. The guitar didn't have the trem arm and I've been searching for the last few months for one that will fit with no success. Are these things still available?

Thanks,
jeff

Great topic... I'm still searching for a NOS Gibralter gold bridge for one of my Destroyers and two NOS Super 58's in gold as well.

Jeff,

I have 4 Powerockers on my parts shelf. They all use the same snap-in bar as an Edge.

Cheers

Steve, why do I have a strange feeling that I have the S.O.B. still shrink rapped on card in my junky box aka Spiro's playground ! I will have a look on Monday when I get to the office and let you know :)

Jeff, the part number for the tremolo arms is 2LE2B. These are the ones used in the Edge and Lo-Pro Edge trem systems and they will fix your problem.:)

Laaz, the Super 58's are a available part right now. Order it through your local Ibanez dealer, but as for the bridge....looks like you'll be Ebay at bit more than normal :(

Hi Captain. The Super 58's available now are two screw design. I need the original three screw design.

How about a pickguard and mounting post stuff for an '83 AM-50?

It is quite easy to make a 2 screw pickup a 3 screw design..

a piece of brass plate and set of taps will make a plate up easily..

Cut the plate down to size .. drill 3 holes in the right places and the tap them...

using a pickip mounting screw fasten the plate to the pickup in the middle hole.. use some locktite to keep it in place. And voila a 3 screw pickup..

Cap'n,

Black Plastic pickup surrounds for an otherwise perfect dark 2671 Scruggs. Do you reckon these can be procured? I live in your star sector [Australia]

Thanks Spiro for that input....:)

Robbo, yes you are in my star sector. I'm based in Sydney. The parts for you are no longer..sorry:(

Mike, hang out until around April / May this year and you should be able to get a pickguard setup complete of the Artcore range. Speak to your nearest Ibanez dealer and ask to look at the Artcore range to select which one will suit you best. This is the time of the year that parts are more available.

Steve, sorry dude a bit busy doing the Ibanez 2004 model release down here, I'm working all this weekend so I will have a dig in the junky box tomorrow :)

I have been intouch with Japan this week and they are going to advise me when cloud tailpieces......that's right tax dodgers, brand spankin' new ones will be avaiable as a spare part.
As soon as I find out the hot gossip I will enter a new posting on this most sought after item....so happy days are almost here :)
