Hey Captain,

As you seem to know more about 70's Jap guitars than anyone else I know, I was wondering if you could tell me whether Suzuki branded guitars ever had any relationship with Ibanez? I'm assuming not, but since there are so many other brands from the Hoshino factory, it can't hurt to ask. If not, were Suzuki's G****n knockoff guitars decent quality in the 70's?

Cheers

Pete

Pete,
It's the Fuji Gen Gakki guitar factory that has the main connection with ibanez and it's affiliated brands.....I think Aria and Suzuki came out of Hoshino...but the capn will put us to right......

Aria were largely made by Matsumoku in the '70s and '80s, with some apparently also made by Kasuga.
