Ok I know that pretty much everything here is covered from 1970-present but I have a question about a bass guitar made in the 60's. I can't find anything anywhere on this company or bass so anything you can tell me would be great. It is an Elger bass guitar made in japan, Elger was a guitar company bought out by Ibanez when it was created. The bass is an SG style with chrome pickups and everything nice, great shape, but I dont know how much it is worth and I need to sell it but know nothing. I have pics, if you want to see them email me at mbernard@otsegomn.net, From going to other message boards I have heard 2 opinions from people, one was that it is worthless, and one saying it is a huge collector now. Any information on anything would be great as I am at my last resort for figuring this thing out. Thanks.

Poeticjustice, the Elger company was the forerunner to Ibanez USA. What you might have there is a "law suite model" Gibson EBO copy SG Bass. Hard part is , it's only a Ibanez collector who would by a Elger Model...Ibanez for their collection if they feel that way inclinded...sorry for this info..but I say why sell..damm it i\you know where it came from.... be proud damm it.

Captian Ibanez :)
