You're going to have a tough time finding information on this guitar. It was a Guitar Center-only offering in the states. I believe the exact model number was something like: SA220EX. I have yet to find any official Ibanez information on the guitar. From what I've found, it came in two finishes, the transparent black, which you (and I) have, and a transparent red. They originally retailed for $449. It seems they were only offered in late 2004 as 2005 models (at least they have 05 serial numbers) and have already been discontinued. js Captainibanez Username: Captainibanez Registered: 01-2004 Posted on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 - 6:55 am:    Rakumaniac, its model number is SAS32FM.Its available in the European catalogue as a regular line this year, however the USA market got some as a "Spot Production"model to test the water so to speak and I beleive there was a photo in the Philly Guitar Show thread a while ago. The specs of this guitar are as follows: 3pc SA set in neck Falmed Maple top / Mahogany body Medium frets SAT30S Bridge AH3 neck pickup AH4 bridge pickup Colours: DRS=Dark Red Sunburst & Transparent Lavender Blue. First it is a bolt-neck, not a set-neck. It has a quilt top, not a flame top. Also, the neck in the 220 is not bound like that of the SAS32FM. A while back, Funkle posted photos of this same guitar hanging in a Guitar Center (perhaps Sven could find the thread and post a link?). I too have seen them hanging in my local Guitar Center and they were identified on the hang tags as SA220EX. I'm only guessing, but I think that Guitar Center here in the states must have some sort of agreement with Hoshino that gives them "opportunities" to sell models unique to that chain. Another example that I just saw yesterday was an Exotic Wood acoustic with a figured Mahogany top (identified as model EW20FMANT). I played the guitar. It was quite nice for the price. They have an SA220 in the current online Ibanez catalog, which appears to be similar, but lacks the abalone binding. SA neck 3pc. A number of dealers (and groups of dealers) have (and have had) "proprietary models" made. These are particularly popular for store anniversaries, but some stores offer them as a matter or course. I sure would love to find exact documentation and or spec sheets for it as I collect guitars and currently have 24, I just like to have documentation on them. Thank you all for your help.
