Jim,
Much talk has been going around about my ST Custom and it seems as though several similar guitars have popped up in the last week, which all seem a little different. Mine was made in 1979 and the serial # is G794925. Is there any way you can prove whether this is a one of a kind guitar from 1979 ? I can send some more pics, but there are tons of them posted already. Maybe mine was the first made and then several take offs were produced in 1980 with some variances. Can you please help ? |

Still nothing from 1979 ? Mine has much better birdseye maple and doesn't have the battery compartment ruining the birdseye maple in the center on the back. Mine also has abalone dots inlayed at each volume and tone knob although the one you have posted looks like it may also. The one possibility is that mine could be the first one made and these others are very close variations. |

Usacustom - have you tried emailing Mr. Donahue directly? I wonder how often he visits this board...
You sure have a great guitar! The subtle differences between the other examples certainly set it apart from others, that and the condition (virtually mint with OHSFC). |
