Solid basswood - no paint, 2 tone pickguard [black with white tail], 3 single coils. Ibanez newbie [but I like, I like!].

Thanks!

You can see the Roadstar series in the '83 catalog here:

Thanks, but I have a couple of problems with identifying it...

1)has the Super 6 pu's like the RS205
2)has the 1 piece Maple neck like the RS405 [no rosewood fingerboard]
3) Natural colour like the RS125 [neither the 205 nor the 405 came in natural]
4) no phase shift switch

I'm stumped!

Why the double post???

"2)has the 1 piece Maple neck like the RS405 [no rosewood fingerboard] "

RS405's have a rosewood fretboard...

Gonna need a photo. However, I'm betting this guitar has been modified.

Sorry 'bout the double post. Wasn't sure where to post this query. I'll try to post a photo tonight. As for the fingerboard, I meant to say it has no rosewood, just maple.

Thanks.

As well, it's an '83...if I forgot to mention.

The letter prefix of the serial number would help determine if it's an early or late '83 build. A late '83 may be an '84 model.
