We discuss and debate a lot of Ibanez stuff around here and I thought it would be interesting to see/read what appears to be a TON of information about Hoshino.
I don't know what sources Wikipedia uses or if some of the more obscure details are accurate, but this is a great read nonetheless.

I'm pretty sure some of our specialists here will find lots of info that's not to be trusted without double checking.
Wikipedia works with input from anybody who thinks he knows the truth about a subject. If nobody corrects the info, these stories start a life of their own.
So, if you have any doubts, ask the ICW forum. And if someone's info is not entirely true, there are enough critical eyes to correct it.

Ginger~The links they provide were more interesting to me than the content on the web page. One thing that struck me as odd was the very limited listing of their products (i.e. Where are the 'AR's?).
Even Harmony Central lists all of the guitars/basses in their 'User Review' section.
To me the Wikipedia article reads like a term paper about Ibanez...But the links do help fill in some of the gaps.
Part of the reason I posted this thread in this section is for either Jim Donohue (I know, he's super busy) or the other experts to chime in.
Some of Ibanez' instrument history is so poorly documented that it comes close to urban legend. |
