This might be addressed in the upcoming book, but I just got an "Ibanez Jamboree" guitar-- a copy of a Gibson hummingbird. No words on the headstock-- just a crown-- the label inside says "Ibanez Jambouree." The word "Ibanez" on the label looks like the same font used on the headstocks of old Ibanezes. This might go back to the early 70's or so.

Do you know anything about these? A thorough web search reveals only the same unanswered questions about what these are. Are they real Ibanez guitars? Collectible? Thank you in advance!!!

Back then they used so many names, Yes it was on the lable as a Jamboree but not in the main catalg or pricelist under that name, It would have just a Number and a description in the price list.

They had an Andora, York, Vintage Classic, Concord, Singing Bird, Flaming Super, Artwood, Vintage, Floral, Maple, Ragtime,

The List goes on,

I have seen these but reallly it was just another name they used. This was used on the Gibson copy.

They are rare and collectable but not worth too much. I find these in the strangest pleces like yard sales?

Thank you Jim for shedding light on this. I hope this will help others, too.
