Jim,
I read you response to the Ar350 super edition post from last month. I have a Pearl White one with the edge trem. You said in 86 they made 176 of those. Is there any way to tell which one of the 176 that I have ( #20,#85, etc.) My ser. # is
C860920.Also, where can I get some nos pickup rings?
Thanks!

Hoshino USA has a ton of the rings in the back still in the wrappers abouve the repir room.

There is no way to tell when it rolled off the line, usually the serial numbers are off by a month or so on the Set neck models bevcause they are put on before finish.

Jim,
I forgot to tell you that the pickup rings have the gold finish. If those are hard to get, I'll need to get them replated. If I did have to get them replated, would the gold anodized finish be o.k. or is there a better finish.

I doubt they could be replated. These were very limited and I believe they are painted gold, I remember them but we swithhed to metal gold after a while and they were more durable, the reason I think it is paint other than the plating process is that they gold did not tarnish like normal gold plating does?

How bad are the rings, To repair them try this, Take a soft cloth and some WD40 and wipe them them down, See if the color comes back. Usually the tarnsh over gold can be removed but be extra carefull it is so thin.
