i have an ibanez s series serial # F342179, made in japan...its is black, 2 humbucker pickups (neck and bridge) and a single coil in the middle..5 way pickup switch...sharktooth inlay on the fret board and is binded around the neck and headstock..says custom made on the 21st fret...the thing that's different about it is...the ibanez logo on the headstock is chrome..i haven't been able to find another s series like it..but i have found ones that were close, except the chrome label...were these limited?? does it make it special??...or is this a common thing...thank you very much..

The Logo should be Die-Cut Chrome Ibanez and a Check mark that is silked screened, To make the japanese models different from Korean models they wanted to use only Diecut (Metal logo Overlays) on all the Japanese models, It was almost every model. Sound slike a standard S540LTDBK but i would need to see it, These are great guitars.

F # is 1993 42179 Well they made about 7000 guitars a month so 7 X 6 = 42 so it was made around June 1993.
