Ok Ibanez made the V2 pickups in Cream, They looked exactly like Dimarzio Super Distortion's. So Larry Dimarzio tradmarked any Humbucking pickup that has two Cream coils. To this Day no one (Other than Carvin) can use Cream Colored umbuckers, You can search teh trademark. I believe that no one has really tried to appeal on this, because as we all know when Gibson ran out of Black Plastic they used Craem under many covers. I have seen pickups made at FujiGen and also at Gotoh. Dimarzio asked Ibanez to stop making teh dead on Copies of the Super Distortion's so they vanished by 1984 (At least the cream ones.) The new V2's I watched them make at Fuji when I was there, But I think many of these will eventually be made in Korea to keep the price down. It is just too expensive to make anything in Japan these days.
