Hi Jim,

Are the J custom guitars made in the same factory as their sister Prestige and standard model in Fujigen ?
I got RG 8570 and there is no "F" code behind the serial number.

Thank you,
MP

It depends on the year. As of 2002 the Hirooka Custom shop that the J customs where made at merged into the main factory at Sunwood about 1hour from Fujigen, Sunwood is the sister company of Fuji and Fuji purchased a large quantity of the stock and moved the Hirooka Custom shop there.

F Means Fuji Gen, The rest of the numbers is what I need.

Hiroka was the Custom shop and they made all the Customs, Jems. JS's and hollow bodies, But that was closed whne Fuji Downsized. Now really everything Fuji makes is High End. All the wood working is Done at the Sunwood facility and then sent out for paint and assembly to Matsumoto at Fuji's main plant.
