A follow-up: The bass arrived today and it is pretty nice. There are some flaws with it, but for $127.50 I have to forgive them. The two main issues are that the #21 fret is missing and the bridge has a number of non-original screws in it, performing different functions. Also, the tone knob broke off when I turned it, but it can be fixed. Here are some closeup pictures:

That's a real nice hardware assortment you got there. If you are ever missing a screw (say in your toaster, or maybe one fell out of the kid's jungle gym), I think a replacement can be found in your bridge.
