Hi Guys,

Does anyone know of a Black Eagle Bass for sale, or even a body and neck as I have all the other parts (hardware and scratchplate etc) to restore one.

Thanks,

Nick (UK)

Actuallyt I have one but would like to buy the scratchplate and other parts so if anyone has them laet me know. I have the body that was stripped of its finish by the previuous owner and also the neck is missing because he decided it should have a maple fretless neck attached.

They never made a lefty Black Eagle or did they? The first time I saw one, was with a jamsession. This bass caught me immediately with it's sound and looks. But I never saw a lefty (I am a lefty). I own one '76 Ibanez 2365 bl ash sunburst with rosewood fingerboard. A great player!

I think that this guy, who did this with your bass is a Neanderthaler! Such a beautifull bass! What"s gone into him? Satan? I wish you succes in your quest!

Hi all!

Are you all seated? Do you have something to hold on to? Do you have a glass of water within arm reach????

What you're about to see is so horrible; be sure there's somebody around to call 911 if the shock should knock you off your feet.....

A friend of mine found this Black Eagle....that is....what is left of it....

Wanted to share with you, just as an example of people do their guitars, not to speak of the total breakdown of the instrument's value.

Sad greetz....

Harry that one is not as bad as mine. It seems as if they just stripped the body. I guess you could call it a Albino Eagle bass!

I think that they replaced the body into a normal jazz. Look at the upper horn.

The guy that has it now says it's the original body (with all the many pieces of wood: various pieces next to each other in two layers on top of each other) and that it's clearly visible that part of the stripping/"customising"-job was to sort of re-shape the curly horns. So it's definitely the original body.

Kind greetz,
Harry

By the way, Ibanezfreak: if you could use the parts in order to restore your Black Eagle I could contact my friend. Maybe this is your chance to get your missing parts for a relatively low price.
Just let me know and I'll ask for it.
