Good morning everyone !

I have this bass for 9 years now and I still don't know what is the model, it's manufacturing date, it's value, and if it is rare or not. Please, can anyone help me identify my particular model number or name? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the picture of my Ibanez :
(large) http://cf.geocities.com/francois_barrette/ibanez_sdgr_lg.jpg
(small) http://cf.geocities.com/francois_barrette/ibanez_sdgr.jpg

It's a 5-strings SDGR, serial:F764940 and the only other inscriptions are "GOTOH" under the machine heads and "Regulated LO-Z from Ibanez" on the pickups. The controls looks like EQBII but I'm not shure.

Once again, any help from any of you experts will be greatly appreciated.

P.S.:Your site is great, keep up the good work!

Thanks for telling me about the links, I read the FAQ about pictures and here's a small one :

The pictures on my geocities site will be available in about 30 minutes or so (I've exceded the bandwidth this morning).

It's a strange thing that you say it's a '97 because I bought it as used in late '96 or early '97...

Thanks again.

Frank,

since the numbering system changed in 1987, your bass could be a '87 SR885LE. Here's a link to a scan of the 1989 catalog that shows that model as well...

Interessting. Good to kow that it was changed in "87 instead of "90, what would be more obvious.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your support. Johns, yes, the neck pickup is on an angle. Yogi, thank you for linking me to ibanezrules.com website. I also find the '89 price list there. Olafreijnders, thank you for the brazilian link. That bass is on sale for $564 USD.

Once again, thank you all!

Okay, thanks for the link to the 87 catalog. Now, I'd say it's a 1987 model SR 885LE, also.
