hi folks,

i have a really old ibanez roadster bass that i've been playing for a few years
i've never been able to find anything about the bass apart from it's age (1979) and was hoping you could help :-)

i can't find any reference to this bass on the various Ibanez websites that are available.

there are very few distinguishing marks apart from the serial number H790694

i've posted pictures of the bass here:
http://www.escapeact.com/richbass/

would this be the RS800 model?

any info you have would be much appreciated!

Rich9:

Yes, it's a '79 RS800BS. Mahogany body with flame maple top. Super4 pickup, TR Tuned Response neck. Accu-cast bridge.

I think you should be able to get $450 or so, depending upon the condish.

You're welcome. That's a cool bass. That particular humbucker sounds great. Nice flame on the top, and with the original case, too! Someone here should snap it up soon.

Hi Rich9 - we meet again! I think you shouldn't have too much trouble getting around £250 for your Roadster - Ebay prices are on the way up, if it ends up there. Failing that, my original offer of a tenner still stands!

hi jon, i haven't forgotten your offer, in case things get really tough! ;-)

one point for Ibnzplyr - the case isn't original (i wish!) but it is fairly sturdy
